Mad Scientist Toon Club (aka Mad Scientist Kids Club) – clip of episode 4 "Water"

Super rare footage! The end of an episode, in English, with “Dr. Pi” performing an experiment, giving his mailing address, and then the start of the end credits. Starring Michael Sorich (voice of Squatt and some monsters on Power Rangers, and also played Woody Stocker on VR Troopers).

This was a 1-hour mix of live action and Japanese animation produced by Saban Entertainment that aired in syndication from 1993-1994. I don’t know what station this was recorded from but one station it used to air on was WABC in New York. I didn’t really believe this show existed until I found this short piece near the end of a tape with some other stuff from October 93. This is all I have, and I was shocked to find it a few hours ago. I don’t recall ever seeing this before in my life and I thought the first I heard of it was a few months ago online.

Here is an article that describes the American legal situation that led to the creation of “Bill Nye the Science Guy”, “Beakman’s World”, this show, and other educational programs in the early 90s: http://pastebin.com/kiuySqjy

  1. Each 1-hour episode (including commercials) of this show mixed with live-action segments and pre-Existing Animation including Saban's Samurai Pizza Cats and Tic Tac Toons. Does anybody have all full episodes???

  2. I was just thinking of this show the other day, with this guy making cheesy jokes and the short anime segments (I believe one was about a dinosaur that laid magic eggs, another was about a Tarzan-like character). Nowhere near as cool as Beakman or Bill Nye, but I was a kid, so I ate up anything it seemed. XD

  3. This used to be on KCOP! I've been looking for this show and trying to remember the name of it fore years. I remember one episode the guy talked about tv shows are made and since it is a Saban show there is footage from the Power Rangers. I think he interviewed a few of the actors.
