Love this! I find myself overpacking entertainment items for my two young boys when traveling and then they don’t even use any of it. I like how simple you kept it. Definitely going to try it this time!
Coloring books are great for all ages. Whenever I go on road trips, I always make sure to bring a good coloring book with me, as well as a pencil pouch/box full of markers and colored pencils. Very relaxing and entertaining.

Weird… My parents took us traveling when we were kids all the time. My sis and I had no coloring books, surprises and sweets! We got to pick a stuffed toy and a book to read. And we behaved without any issues.
Same is for my kids now and I have had one meltdown (the kid was with high fever so I guess I can even omit this occasion)!
