I like the video. Thanks! I did notice one mistake. 90 minutes is longer than an hour and 20 minutes. Just saying😂 I personally keep it clean but never use Disney music. I involve the kids in activities, games, and even when possible involve the kids in the DJing. Everything must be tapped. Nothing hanging or loose to get hooked on. As long as the kids stay involved they behave. The ones who get bored are the ones who act out. Most of the time I use classics in music and use it as an educational opportunity to groom them with popular hits that have made dance floors popular throughout history. Great songs like All Star, I want Candy, Groove is in the heart, funky town, abc, electric slide, conga, limbo, twist, and more. In most cases for me, kids events are about 2 hours on the short side and 4 hours on the long side.
Your bang on as usual. I will try to get a couple parents involved next time. They typically just let me do everything and it's tough sometimes with my disabilities. I often hire a helper. The Halloween ones are the most work.
This is true. I’ve done several events for our pre schools and K-5 grades out in my area and 2hours is the max for events like this. I play songs with activities and kids requests are always welcomed by me. You would be surprised what they ask for. I can play some songs and others I can’t due to profanity and lyrical content. Just remember to keep it clean and do research.
Hey Brian great info as always, question I'm heading to Milwaukee ( think that's ur area) downtown area tomorrow for a week, A convention .Any ideas on the Latin club scene or such. Thanks in advance
Balloons Balloons they are cheap and there are lots of ways to use them. Hot potatoe type game (play music , pass around the balloon , music stops & u have the balloon u r out) . etc
Good advice. I keep hula hoops in the trailer for kids. I've also made a limbo stick and holder. They also like give aways, hand out cheap toys, finger lights, beads, etc. Musical chairs is always a hit, too. The game show "minute to win it" featured lots of fun mini games, using cups and ping pong balls & stuff. I've played those games at lots of parties. Keep sharing!
I have just about every Kids BOP song 🙂
Mind blown as you compared length of kids party to Disney movies. Perfect way to explain to schools and parents.
Play baby shark for 2 hours.
Kids Bop! Keep it short & super-squeaky clean. 90 minutes tops.
Great Info DJ!…Thx
Great video and good tips! I do quite a few kid events during the year and your spot on about the max time for the event.
Run it like a skating rink Saturday Afternoon session.
Who let the dogs out lol

I meant to add the Coke, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper game. The students seem to like that one. Stormy seas, too.
